Only at USC will you walk into a Friday class to find students involved in an impromptu jam session with Patrice Rushen and Paul Jackson Jr. Skyler Garn sure had a fun time laying down some drum beats with instruction from Jackson.

Jackson, a USC alum, spoke with the USC Popular Music Program about his experiences as a guitarist.
Jackson actually grew up across the street from Patrice Rushen! How cool!
It was great to hear these old friends talk about their experiences in the music industry. It was even more of a pleasure to photograph them jamming!
The day wouldn't be complete without a group shot. Thanks so much to Patrice and Paul for sharing a bit of their wisdom with the students!
Oh, and I should mention, the legend Wa Wa Watson stopped in too! What a group we had this day!
